Hello! I’m Chris Bennett — a father of three, longtime youth coach, and passionate believer in the power of sport to change lives.

On Sunday, December 14th, 2025, I’ll be running the Tucson Marathon not just for the finish line, but for something much bigger: to raise funds that make youth sports free for families who need it most.

As someone who’s spent years working with kids in the club system, I’ve seen how the “pay-to-play” model leaves too many young athletes on the sidelines—not because of talent or passion, but because of money.

That’s why every mile I run will be dedicated to breaking down those financial barriers.

I’ve chosen a fundraising goal of $3,600 because this amount covers the tournament entry fees for one youth soccer team—roughly 10 to 12 kids—for an entire year. This ensures these children can compete in six local tournaments without their families having to worry about those costs.

My goal is simple: run with purpose—and open the door for as many children as possible to play, compete, and grow through sport.
